Molson had established a Smelter on the other bank of the river in the late 19th century. It were plowing through the ternion feet deep pure cast-iron blacken sand so fabrication on the beaches when raw lesson for the Forge. This lead Prospectors to explore the vicinity upflow of any stream of the river & lead to the discovery of big Iron ore deposits around Schefferville, Quebec.
